Career: DIT (Doctor In Training)

Years at Crossfit Purgatory: 3

Loves bacon, bread, and beer!

Where are you from? What brought you to Tucson?
NorCal originally, here for school.

How long have you been a CrossFitter, and why did you start?
Three years. I started because I got really bored with my own solo trainings and needed a push. I sure found it.

Which movement is your favorite?
Ring muscle ups, because they represent the blend of speed, agility, coordination, and power that Crossfit requires. And you get a different perspective, literally!

How have you improved the most?
Setting my ego aside, and learning to sometimes take a step back in order to move forward in the long run.

If you were stuck on a desert island, and could only have one food forever, what would it be?
Bacon, the mana of the gods!

What do you love about being at CrossFit Purgatory?
The community of people who push me and keep me humble, hungry, and happy.

What keeps you motivated?
Everyone else showing up and doing their best that day is inspiring, always. But I think it’s important to know that for me, some days it’s not about motivation. It’s about just nutting up and showing up. Even when I don’t want to. Because it’s not about me. It’s about how I can serve others today.

If I’m not at the box, you can probably find me…
At the hospital. But if I’m free, I’m out hiking, finding a good place to eat, or at a local brewery for a beer and good conversation.

One interesting thing about yourself not related to CrossFit:
I love to cook, bake bread, and brew beer!
