Throws pottery and weights!
Where are you from? What brought you to Tucson?
Chandler, AZ; came to Tucson to get my Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering (class of 2018)
How long have you been a CrossFitter, and why did you start?
Started in Oct ‘18 (after a breakup bc isn’t that when everyone gets their shit together??); had been interested in strength training/power lifting/etc for a long time, but hadn’t made a whole lot of improvement trying to figure it out on my own in the annoyingly busy (& intimidating) campus rec gym, so I thought having the CrossFit coaches and community might help me get started and stick with it — it did! :)
Which movement is your favorite?
How have you improved the most?
Consistency & learning to push myself a little more each time; getting a better sense of what pushing myself feels like for each movement
If you were stuck on a desert island, and could only have one food forever, what would it be?
What do you love about being at CrossFit Purgatory?
The coaches, the community, and not having to come up with my own workouts
What keeps you motivated?
Getting stronger feels amazing and even if I don’t feel motivated, I know I won’t regret showing up:)
If I’m not at the box, you can probably find me…
At the pottery studio:)
One interesting thing about yourself not related to CrossFit:
I started learning to throw pottery on the wheel around the same time I joined CFP — it has become my favorite thing to do.
