Years at Crossfit Purgatory: 8

P.E. teacher that loves to break out in song!

Where are you from? What brought you to Tucson?
Tucson.

How long have you been a CrossFitter, and why did you start?
I started doing Crossfit my senior year in college and took a 7 year break. I have been doing it for a little over a year now. I joined with a friend and fell in love with it all over again. Playing college ball and being instructed on what we were working out, and what we were supposed to do that day is what I am used to. I am the type of person that needs to be told what to workout or I wont be productive. Crossfit is always a different set of challenges physically and mentally and it relieves a lot of my stress. I wanted to be apart of a gym where I could get to know people that I have something in common with.

Which movement is your favorite?
Deadlift

How have you improved the most?
I have seen improvement on a couple of movements. My rowing has improved tremendously, and my double unders!!!!! I have seen a lot of gains when it comes to the barbell movements and I cant wait to improve more!

If you were stuck on a desert island, and could only have one food forever, what would it be?
rice cakes topped with peanut butter

What do you love about being at CrossFit Purgatory?
From day one I was welcomed as if I was apart of their gym family.

What keeps you motivated?
I want to set a good example for my daughter and my students. Showing them that an active lifestyle

If I’m not at the box, you can probably find me…
At Target!

One interesting thing about yourself not related to CrossFit:
I like to break out in song or movies quotes whether or not people are around. AND I’m hilarious!!!! I’m the funniest person I know!
